Setec
Background
A well-known French engineering company, Setec is present in the Lyon region through some twenty fast-growing subsidiaries, located in two separate sites in La Part-Dieu borough. Wishing to take advantage of a lease expiry, Setec instructed Upside to bring together its 400 employees on a single site, also making it possible to accommodate growth up to 2034.
The challenge
In less than twelve months, Upside has drawn up the programming of needs, mapped the offer in a very narrow relocation sector, evaluated the options, conducted the due diligences and negotiated the lease of the #Corner building, owned by Allianz Reim, for a approx 7,000 m² footprint. Within the same period, the facilities layout was designed by mobilizing employees via co-construction workshops and then constructed.
Upside has carried out an ambitious transformation project at a very rapid pace, which is hailed as a success by our teams in Lyon

Our results
Reluctant to implement unallocated positions, the only way to accommodate the projected growth of the workforce without leasing m² proportionally, the occupants of #Corner today recognize the merits of the approach. Each subsidiary now occupies its own “district” but the common means are pooled and pain points identified at the origin of the project have been addressed (lack of meeting rooms of different sizes, noise pollution, need to offer more services on site , bicycle storage, stronger incarnation of Setec’s ‘Citizen Engineers’ approach).
