Renault
Background
Renault owns the Flins manufacturing and assembly plant (78), which develops 220 hectars of land and is one of the Group’s historic plants. Compacting its industrial activities on around a third of the site, the car manufacturer instructed Upside to support its teams in developing the freed-up area
The challenge
With the help of many Renault in-house experts (Manufacturing, Real Estate, Finance, Legal, CSR, Public Affairs, entities occupying the Flins site), Upside has drawn up a master plan in order to best value, in the form of lots, the m² of building land released. Similarly, Upside designed and piloted a consultation process involving real estate developers/investors, in order to redevelop the site leveraging different uses (industrial, logistics, activity, office/training).
Our results
After nearly two years of intense work, a future is taking shape for the 160 hectars that Renault will no longer occupy, aimed at meeting current demand for ‘turnkey’ industrial land in France.
